Major changes have been made to the Turkey-Georgia Free Trade Agreement that will help expand economic cooperation between the two countries, Georgia News reported, citing the Georgian and Turkish embassies.

According to the embassies, the Turkish parliament approved the changes on Feb. 10. The changes mainly concern the definition of the concept of “origin of good” and allow to export products manufactured with Turkish raw material from Georgia within the scope of the free trade regime.

The Georgian embassy is certain that this will promote Turkey’s investments in Georgia’s economy and will help create joint companies and new jobs.
