The buildings of 13 kindergartens and 14 schools in various districts of Yerevan are being studied. The operative group of Yerevan Rescue Department, under the leadership of Colonel of the Rescue Service Arnold Harutyunyan, as well as eight employees of the Seismic Protection Territorial Service SNCO and representatives of Yerevan Municipality visited the schools and kindergartens where certain problems were noticed after the earthquake. Studies have been conducted so that the schools and kindergartens can receive children at ease and according to the timetable after receiving the professional opinion.

Head of the Department for Seismic Stability of Structures of the Seismic Protection Service at the Ministry of Emergency Situations recorded that the impact of the earthquake in the schools and kindergartens of Yerevan was only felt in the form of the cracks on the plasters, and assured that they are safe for operation.

The National Crisis Management Center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations has received over 3,000 alarms.
