Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan today had a meeting with the relatives of prisoners of war from Shirak Province at the regional governor’s office of the province. This is what Spokesperson of the Prime Minister Mane Gevorgyan told Armenian News-NEWS.am, adding that she can’t provide other details.
On Feb. 10, the parents and relatives of the prisoners of war from Shirak Province had shut down the Gyumri-Yerevan road, after which they reached an agreement with the regional governor and police chief of the province to open the road under the condition that they have a meeting with the director of the National Security Service. During a question-and-answer session with government officials in parliament the same day, Nikol Pashinyan declared that the government was planning a visit to Shirak Province to meet with citizens, including the relatives of prisoners of war.
During the visit to Shirak Province, the Prime Minister held a consultation at the regional governor’s office of Shirak Province and discussed the current and strategic issues.
