Deputy Prime Minister of Armenia Mher Grigoryan today had a video call with Head of Unit for Eastern Partnership in the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Neighborhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations Vassilis Maragos, Head of Division of the European External Action Service for Relations with Eastern Partnership countries Richard Tibbels, Head of the EU Delegation to Armenia, Ambassador Andrea Wiktorin and other high-ranking EU officials, as reported the Office of Deputy Prime Minister Mher Grigoryan.

During the conversation, the Deputy Prime Minister underscored the importance of the Armenia-EU Comprehensive and Enhanced Partnership Agreement for Armenia and mentioned the end of the ratification process with satisfaction.

The interlocutors discussed the course of development of the 2021-27 Armenia-EU multi-year program and emphasized the importance of the document for development of cooperation. They also discussed the main areas of the 2021 Annual Action Plan. Deputy Prime Minister Grigoryan particularly stressed the importance of the EU’s support to resist the humanitarian crisis caused by the pandemic and war and the social-economic recovery.

The participants of the meeting emphasized the need for the application of financial instruments of the EU for restoration of economic activity in Armenia and touched upon the deepening of the EU-Armenia cooperation through infrastructure projects.
