The former chief of the State Property Management Department adjunct to the Government of Armenia, the former mayor of Yerevan, the former heads of the Department of Architecture and Urban Development and the Real Estate Management Department at Yerevan Municipality have been charged with abuse of official powers, as reported the Department of Information and Public Relations of the Investigative Committee of Armenia.

The large-scale investigative and procedural actions taken under the criminal case being investigated by the General Department for Investigation of Particularly Important Cases led to the disclosure of several cases of abuse of official powers by former Head of the State Property Management Department adjunct to the Government of Armenia Arman Sahakyan, former Mayor of Yerevan Taron Margaryan, former Head of the Department of Architecture and Urban Development at Yerevan Municipality Andranik Kasaryan and Head of the Department for Management of Immovable Property at Yerevan Municipality Arsen Amyan with regard to geodesy and land plots.
