The United States must unconditionally and effectively lift all sanctions reintroduced by the Donald Trump administration, Iranian Foreign Minister Mohammad Javad Zarif said while commenting on the US decision to abandon the activation of the reverse mechanism and the renewal of UN sanctions on Iran, Mehr reported.

Earlier, the United States withdrew a statement on the restoration of UN sanctions on Iran.

US Secretary of State Antony Blinken told European allies that the administration of President Joe Biden is ready to begin talks with Iran on the return of both countries to a 2015 agreement.
