Turkish Defense Ministry plans to reach a deal with Boeing on supply of six heavy lift military transport helicopters - CH-47F Chinook, Hurriyet Daily News reports.
The deal is estimated at $300 million. If the contract is signed, deliveries are expected to begin in 2013.
According to the source in Turkish office of Undersecretary for Defense Industries, some modifications will be made on the helicopters “to suit specific needs”.
