A little while ago, the officers of the National Security Service of Armenia ended the search in the office of my client, former chief of staff of the National Assembly of Armenia Ara Saghatelyan and two other offices next to that one. This is what Saghatelyan’s attorney Hakob Yenokyan reported on his Facebook page, adding the following:

“Although three offices were searched, the decision of the investigator, not the court has been presented as a ground, that is, the personal office equaled to an apartment was searched without a court decision which is a gross violation of the Constitution and Criminal Procedure Code of Armenia.

After this “search”, my client Ara Saghatelyan was apprehended and taken to the National Security Service. I will report other violations committed within the scope of the launched criminal case later.”
