PreferredThe police started apprehending—near the third building of the government of Armenia—the citizens who had come there to prevent PM Nikol Pashinyan from reaching this government building.
Among those apprehended are Gerasim Vardanyan, a board member of the student union of the opposition Armenian Revolutionary Federation-ARF Dashnaktsutyun Party, and Babken Harutyunyan, a member of the opposition Homeland Party.
The police started apprehending the demonstrators when Pashinyan had already entered the third building of the government, and under the chants, "Nikol, the traitor."
Prior to the apprehending, however, police did not notify that the protest should be stopped.
As reported earlier, at the end of Monday’s protests of the Homeland Salvation Movement—which demands the resignation of PM Nikol Pashinyan, Ishkhan Saghatelyan, a representative of the Armenia Supreme Body of the ARF and coordinator of the aforesaid movement, had called to the people to be near the third building of the government at 11:30am Tuesday, as Pashinyan was to come to that building.
