YEREVAN. – The search for the remains of servicemen fallen during the recent war in Karabakh (Artsakh) in the Azerbaijani-controlled territories has been suspended due to bad weather conditions. The Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ara Aivazian, said this Tuesday in a talk with reporters at the National Assembly of Armenia.

Also, he expressed a conviction that the search operations will resume once the weather conditions improve in the aforesaid area.

Asked whether this reason was noted by the Azerbaijani side, the FM assured the reporters that the weather had really worsened in the area and that this could really have complicated the search.

But earlier, Stepanakert had stated that Azerbaijan had banned the search for the bodies of the victims without explaining the reasons.
