The Republican Party members of the US Congress have warned—with a letter—President Joe Biden about lifting any sanctions on Iran amid efforts by his administration to resume talks with Tehran over its nuclear program.
Last week, the new US administration announced that it had accepted an invitation to negotiate with Iran and the five other parties to the 2015 nuclear deal, which was rejected by former US President Donald Trump in 2018.
As per the aforesaid letter, the Iranian regime's demands for the lifting of sanctions as a precondition for the bilateral talks proposed by the US administration are unscrupulous, the US should put pressure on the Iranian regime and not permit to be considered weak, and the lifting of these sanctions will push the United States into a corner and deprive it of efforts to normalize its relations with Iran.
