Bahrain's Crown Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa discussed with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu the importance of participation of the countries of the region in any negotiations on the Iranian nuclear dossier to support security and stability in the world and the region, AP reported.
The Crown Prince of Bahrain noted that any nuclear talks with Iran should include broader issues without going into details.
The announcement marks the first response from the leader of the Arab states of the Persian Gulf to the announcement by the US President that he is seeking the resumption of negotiations with Iran. Almost three years ago, former President Donald Trump abandoned the nuclear deal and re-imposed tough sanctions on Iran.
In turn, Netanyahu's office said the crown prince reiterated his invitation to Netanyahu to visit Bahrain as soon as the pandemic allows, and noted that the kingdom is interested in joint investments with other countries in vaccine production plant, which is planned to be located in Israel.
