The Turkish parliament will consider the issue of revoking the immunity of 25 opposition MPs, Sozcu reported.

A total of 33 court motions were sent to parliament to remove immunity from at least nine members of the pro-Kurdish People's Democracy Party, including party co-chairman Pervin Buldan.

The actions against PDN MPs are linked to their alleged role in inciting violence during the 2014 nationwide protests against the Turkish army's inaction during the Islamic State (ISIS) attack on the northern Syrian Kurdish city of Kobani.

The Turkish government has already jailed dozens of mayors and PDN officials.
