The person still occupying the PM’s seat today openly falsified the goal and content of Vazgen Manukyan's statement made on October 27, 2020. The Homeland Salvation Movement, which demands the resignation of Armenia’s PM Nikol Pashinyan, has noted this in a statement Thursday.

The statement also says:

"We are publishing Vazgen Manukyan's statement again, reaffirming that it was aimed at preventing the disgraceful defeat and the terrible catastrophe threatening our country.

Vazgen Manukyan's statement made on October 27, 2020:

Compatriots!

Despite the heroic struggle of our people, we now live one of the shameful and destructive chapters of our history.

Not only Artsakh [(Nagorno-Karabakh)], but also Armenia and the future of the Armenians are endangered.

Is it possible to change the situation? To make a breakthrough? Yes! But not during the current government.

What should be done?

1. This government must resign, handing over all power to the army; moreover, it must do so voluntarily, without shocks that could be destructive.

2. The army, taking all the power in its hands, should form a joint Defense Committee—together with Artsakh, organizing the necessary measures for the current war situation, ensuring trust, and going for negotiations with the interested states, international structures.

This is the only salvation. Otherwise, we can lose everything.”
