The leader of the Bright Armenia party and its parliamentary faction Edmon Marukyan urged the President not to sign the document on dismissing the Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces Onik Gasparyan.

According to Marukyan, the actions of Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan were aimed at decapitating the army by dismissing the generals of the General Staff of the Armed Forces, which deserves condemnation.

“I urge the President of the Republic Armen Sarkissian not to sign Nikol Pashinyan’s proposal, to keep the Armed Forces of Armenia under the leadership of the generals, who now need our common support to restore the army,” the politician said.
