Dynamics of growth of Facebook subscribers has declined sharply over the past two months, reports Inside Facebook blog. According to the blog, the number of new subscribers in April 2011 was 13.9 million while in May it dropped to 11.8 million. Earlier, average monthly registrations of new Facebook users reached 20 million.

Interest in social networks has declined in the United States, Canada, UK, Norway and Russia. However, Facebook fills this gap with the involvement of new regions. As of May and June, the number of Facebook users in Mexico, Brazil, Indonesia and India is growing rapidly. 

Note that according to Facebakers company, dealing with Facebook statistics, current number of Facebook users worldwide reaches 698 million. The number of users in Armenia currently stands at 175,000.
