The fiancée of the opposition Saudi journalist Jamal Khashoggi, Hatice Cengiz, who was killed in the Consulate General of Saudi Arabia in Istanbul, has called for the crown prince of the kingdom, Mohammed bin Salman, to be punished after the United States published a report on his involvement in the incident, RIA Novosti reported.

As reported earlier, the office of the US director of national intelligence believes that the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia, Mohammed bin Salman, personally approved the assassination of Khashoggi.

US President Joe Biden said he promised the King of Saudi Arabia new changes to US policy on Monday. Saudi Arabian authorities rejected the findings of the US intelligence report, stating that the report contained inaccurate information. According to the statement, the country's authorities have already taken the necessary measures against those who committed the crime.

According to her, punishing the crown prince will help prevent similar crimes in the future. She believes it is time to ask Biden and other world leaders if they will shake hands with bin Salman.

Khashoggi was killed in October 2018 in Istanbul at the Saudi Arabian consulate.
