Permanent representatives of the EU member states have begun to issue sanctions on the Russians involved in the arrest of Kremlin critic Alexei Navalny, a source told RIA Novosti.

The names of those involved in the list are expected to be revealed this week.

The decision on restrictive measures on Russian citizens was made by the EU countries FMs on February 22. They will come into force after the announcement of the list.
