The European Commission will present a proposal to create a digital passport for COVID-19 vaccination for the entire EU in March. The document will allow Europeans to travel more freely during the peak summer holidays, Reuters reports.
EC President Ursula von der Leyen said the digital green pass will provide proof that a person has been vaccinated, as well as test results for those who have not yet been vaccinated, and information on the recovery of those infected with COVID-19.
The goal is to gradually enable them to move safely in the EU or abroad - for work or tourism, she noted.
