The responsibility of the deputies of the ruling My Step faction of the National Assembly is to leave the faction and join the people, not stay in the faction. This is what deputy of the opposition Prosperous Armenia faction Mikayel Melkumyan said during today’s rally held by the opposition Homeland Salvation Movement on Marshal Baghramyan Avenue in Yerevan.

“Tomorrow the National Assembly will launch a procedure to discuss the issue of holding the session to consider lifting martial law and discuss the created situation (the issue had been presented by the opposition Prosperous Armenia and Bright Armenia parliamentary factions), and we will achieve shift of power constitutionally. I have absolutely no desire to discuss the draft of the Tax Code or any bill. It’s time to make serious changes in this country where there is parliamentary governance,” Melkumyan stated.
