YEREVAN. – According to information received by Edmon Marukyan, chairman of the opposition Bright Armenia Party and head of its parliamentary faction, some members of the ruling My Step bloc are launching constitutional amendments to include the army General Staff in the Ministry of Defense. But according to him, this is impossible without a referendum. Marukyan on Tuesday told this to reporters in the National Assembly.
To note, President Armen Sarkissian has not yet signed PM Nikol Pashinyan's proposal to dismiss Onik Gasparyan from the post of Chief of the General Staff of the Armed Forces.
