The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Armenia views Azerbaijan’s politicization of the return of prisoners of war as unacceptable. This is what Foreign Minister Ara Aivazian said in response to deputies’ questions during today’s question-and-answer session with government officials in parliament.

According to him, the return of prisoners of war is one of the most important issues for the Armenian side.

“Politicization of this major humanitarian issue is unacceptable, and various participants of the international community also confirm this. The leaders of various countries and international organizations are already exerting more pressure on Azerbaijan in regard to this issue,” Aivazian said, adding that this issue is truly becoming problematic for Baku.
