During a conversation with Armenian News-NEWS.am, representative of the Union of Armenians of Ukraine in Donetsk, head of the headquarters of the Union in Yerevan Ruben Makaryan said the Union had sent assistance worth more than $2,000,000 during the war in Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh).

The Union sent 36 ambulance trucks; 5 reanimobiles; 5 SUVs; 400 wheelchairs, crutches and canes; 200 first aid kits for soldiers; 3,552 umbrellas; 5,400 thermo-costumes; 20,000 warm stockings; 430 pieces of winter clothes, hats, shoes and thermos-undergarments; 531 sleeping bags; 450 umbrellas/tents; 11,100 food packages for displaced persons; 12,000 bottles of water; more than 200 tons of sugar, butter, cereals, canned beef stew; 75 kwt and 144 kwt power generators that supplied electricity to the bakery in Stepanakert and the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Artsakh.

Voluntary detachments were supplied with food, fuel, hygienic accessories, drugs, binoculars, radio communication devices, night vision devices and many other items.

The members of the Yerevan headquarters regularly visited centers for internally displaced persons and provided food, clothes and many other items. Throughout the period of activities of the headquarters, more than 500 refugee families were provided with shelters, and packages of food were provided to them during the hostilities.

In addition, special means worth $742,000 were sent to Armenia.

The Armenian Apostolic Church had also organized a donation and transferred funds to the Union of Armenians of Ukraine to send to Armenia.
