YEREVAN. - The Armenian police disclosed details of shootout in Armenia’s capital on Tuesday.

Arman Yengibaryan, (born in 1981) posed as an employee of water utility service, trying to enter an apartment in Yerevan. However, the owner of the apartment did not trust him and called the police.

The robber did not obey the police officers near Garehin Nzhdeh subway station and fired from his gun. In response, the police fired in the air and later shoot him, the press service of Armenian police informed Armenian News-NEWS.am.

At the moment Yengibaryan is at the intense care department of Erebuni medical centre.

The details are being clarified. An investigation is underway.

Yengibaryan is suspected of committing robberies in different districts of Yerevan.
