President Armen Sarkissian has issued a congratulatory message to Armenian women on the occasion of International Women's Day.

The message reads in particular that the course of Armenian history has shown how strong is the Armenian woman—the symbol of our rebirth.

As per Sarkissian, it is no coincidence that in our system of values, the attitude towards women has deep roots—based on love, respect, and tribute. And above all, the woman are the warmth and strength of the family and the hearth, a source of excitement and inspiration.

“In these difficult days for the state and our families, be strong and continue to lay the foundations for the future of the country and the nation. You have a patriotic mission that you carry out with dedication at all times and in all situations,” the message also reads in part.
