The mission that the Armenian woman has becomes even more invaluable especially in this most difficult period for our country. Gagik Tsarukyan, chairman of the opposition Prosperous Armenia Party, noted this in his congratulatory message to Armenia women on the occasion of International Women's Day.

"Throughout the age-old history of the Armenian people, your role on the road to the building of our statehood, the survival of the nation, our achievements and victories has always been great.

I am confident that the Armenian woman, who has overcome with honor the difficulties and trials of all times, today as well will not bow down to, will not withdraw against, and will not surrender to pain of loss.

I express my special homage to the mothers and wives of all our heroes who martyred for the homeland," Tsarukyan’s message also reads in part.
