YEREVAN. – Near the side entrance to the National Assembly (NA) of Armenia, some of the protesters demanding the resignation of PM Nikol Pashinyan had brought along signs that read, "Pashinyan pays 70,000 [US] dollars a month to his classmate Police chief," and they wanted to post them on police shields. But the police took these signs from them, after which the citizens posted them on the garbage cans.

"We just wanted to inform them that they are standing in the cold, whereas the chief of police receives $70,000 and sits in a warm room," said a protester.

Asked by reporters where such information came from, the demonstrator said that it was desirable not to mention the source of this information, but added that they would not have dared to take such a step if this information were not accurate.

Another demonstrator said that the purpose of their actions was to make the police aware that their masters were receiving much more money from Pashinyan than they were, but were forcing them to go against their own people.
