168.am reports the following: “In regard to the facts stated in the publication of 168.am regarding the actions of Nikol Pashinyan’s assistant Anna Vardapetyan, the Prosecutor General’s Office of Armenia was supposed to immediately launch a criminal case at least under the elements of Article 308 of the Criminal Code of Armenia, but the Prosecutor General’s Office has forwarded the case to the National Security Service in order to not deal with the matter.

However, according to 168.am, the criminal case won’t be launched in regard to misuse of official position by Anna Vardapetyan and the investigator (which would be normal in a country where laws are observed), but under Article 251 of the Criminal Code (entry into the information system on a computer without permission). Basically, this means that a criminal case will be launched against the person who hacked the computer password and withdrew the information, not against Pashinyan’s assistant Anna Vardapetyan and the investigator for the serious crime that they committed (Anna Vardapetyan gave specific instructions and stated which charge has to be brought against Rafik Hayrapetyan).
