The European Court of Human Rights has notified the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe on the issue of Armenian prisoners, the representative of Armenia to the ECHR Yeghishe Kirakosyan wrote about this on his Facebook page.

"The European Court, taking as a basis the numerous appeals of the representative of Armenia to the ECHR, and also taking into account the fact that the Azerbaijani government repeatedly violated the terms set by the European Court and did not provide full information, on March 9, it decided to notify the Committee of Ministers of the Council of Europe about the violation by Azerbaijan the rights of Armenian prisoners of war and held civilians," he noted.

"The decisions of the ECHR on the application of an interim measure against Azerbaijan on the issue of prisoners of war and held civilians are still in force."
