The newest Russian high-frequency cannon will be able to hit drones at a distance of up to 20 km, Avia.Pro reports.
The information that the Russian military is testing a prototype of this latest weapon suggests that this weapon may be the most effective in the fight against drones.
It is currently known that its effective target range is about 5 km, but its serial system is expected to hit the target at a distance of up to 20 km.
According to various estimates, such weapons will appear in the Russian army in 2025, and they will become effective against any drone, as the probability of their hitting a drone with a powerful ultra-high frequency pulse will not require high accuracy.
At present, Turkish Bayraktar attack drones have been most effective, but they are relatively useless, unlike the Russian Pantsir missile system, although the Russian systems have not been limited to modern weapons and target strikes.
