A few days ago, a mass media outlet released a video showing the transfer of military equipment during martial law in Armenia. This is what deputy of the My Step faction of the National Assembly of Armenia Aren Mkrtchyan said to Deputy Director of the National Security Service Tigran Harutyunyan during today’s session of the Standing Committee on Defense and Security of the National Assembly.
Mkrtchyan also recommended that the administration of the National Security Service develop a legal base in order to hold media outlets spreading such materials liable in the future. “People don’t realize that Armenia was in the epicenter of a war just a few months ago. The media tape and publish news about specific types of arms and military equipment, and this is inadmissible,” the deputy said and suggested taking extreme measures in such cases.
In his turn, Harutyunyan expressed his support to the deputy.
