The report circulating about a meeting expected Wednesday between Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Gagik Tsarukyan—chairman of the opposition Prosperous Armenia Party and head of the Prosperous Armenia faction in parliament—does not correspond to reality. The Prime Minister's spokesperson, Mane Gevorgyan, informed Armenpress about this.

"Such a meeting is not planned today. In general, if it is planned, we will provide additional information," she said.

Prosperous Armenia faction MP Naira Zohrabyan, in turn, said that such a discussion did not take place at all. "I read this news in the press for the first time. We have not had such a discussion at all," Zohrabyan told Armenpress.

There are rumors circulating in the media that a Nikol Pashinyan-Gagik Tsarukyan meeting is expected on Wednesday, after which Pashinyan's resignation and the exact date of snap parliamentary elections will be announced.
