The newly appointed ambassador of Kazakhstan, Bolat Imanbayev, on Wednesday presented his letter of credence to the President of Armenia, Armen Sarkissian.

At the ensuing talk, the sides touched upon the development of cooperation between Armenia and Kazakhstan. It was noted that although the relations between the two countries are developing dynamically, there is still a great untapped potential in a number of spheres.

President Sarkissian stressed that there are great opportunities for the implementation of mutually beneficial programs in several domains.

Both sides also highlighted the role of the Armenian community of Kazakhstan, as well as the intensification of bilateral business and cultural contacts.

Ambassador Imanbayev stressed that he is ready to do his best to strengthen friendly ties between the two countries. He noted that bilateral trade and economic relations were intensifying, even despite the current COVID-19 pandemic and the global economic crisis, and expressed confidence that these trends will continue.
