I learned with deep sorrow about the death of prominent statesman Armen Isagulov. The second president of Armenia, Robert Kocharyan, wrote this on Facebook.

"Armen Isagulov was a true patriot standing at the roots of the Artsakh [(Nagorno-Karabakh)] movement. A person who can be considered a comrade-in-arms by anyone who fought for Artsakh's independence. His contribution to the victory in the [first] Artsakh war and to the future state-building in Artsakh is invaluable. The memory of Armen Isagulov will remain in our hearts forever," Kocharyan added.
