The government is preparing to change the system of payment of teachers’ salaries in September. This is what Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan said during today’s discussion on the current and upcoming programs at the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture and Sport.

“In the beginning, the salaries of teachers whose professional qualifications have been approved and re-approved will be raised by 30-50%. Later, I am certain that there will be major achievements in terms of the general education criterion, subject-specific criterion and teachers’ performance evaluation system after the system is further refined,” he said.
