During its March 18 session, the Armenian government will consider the bill submitted by the National Security Service to make a supplement to the Law of Armenia on the State Border, which proposes to prohibit the use of unmanned aerial vehicles and video surveillance of the territory of a bordering state, the engineering structures and turnpikes deployed in the border layer, as well as buildings, constructions, watchtowers and vehicles used by border guard troops without permission, as reported on gov.am.

The rationale states that the need for adoption of the bill is due to the fact that the use of video surveillance devices and unmanned aerial vehicles in the border layer on the state border of Armenia is currently not regulated by law.
