The head of the Democratic Party of Artsakh faction of the Artsakh (Nagorno-Karabakh) National Assembly, Davit Melkumyan, and the secretary, Gegham Stepanyan, are on a working visit to Russia.
The MPs met in Moscow with the chairman of the Union of Armenians of Russia, Ara Abrahamyan, and discussed the centralization and systematic use of the pan-Armenian potential in overcoming the humanitarian crisis in Artsakh.
Also, the lawmakers from Artsakh attended an international conference, entitled "The Genocide and the First World War: International Agreements, Historical Parallels," and exchanged views with representatives of Armenian and Russian social organizations and academic circles.
Within the framework of their visit to Moscow, the MPs of Artsakh met also with member of the Russian State Duma, Konstantin Zatulin. They discussed the current situation in Artsakh and the region, humanitarian and security challenges, and highlighted the steps to intensify comprehensive cooperation between Artsakh and Russia.
