The Republic of Armenia is in a post-war situation and in a post-war opposition for the past five months. Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan on Saturday said this during a meeting with the residents Nerkin Bazmaberd village in Aragatsotn Province.

"The power and the government have been attacked and continue to be attacked in a very aggressive way. (…) but I know that many people have complaints and demands regarding this situation. The situation we have in Armenia is, in fact, unprecedented because we have managed to avoid civil strife in such a difficult post-war opposition.

There are aggressive forces in Armenia today, and they are increasing their aggression with each passing day, and during this time it has been possible to avoid civil strife; this is a great achievement. But I want to state that this is, first of all, the achievement of our people because, first of all, you did not allow these civil clashes to take place; and this is so in the conditions when some people directly call for murder, call for terrorist acts, without whitewash," he added.

According to Pashinyan, some judges encourage the calls for murder. "And why are there still such judges in Armenia?" Because we have a very big shortcoming and advantage: in 2018, when we stood before you and carried out a revolution together, at that time we have assumed obligations that there will be no [personnel] ‘massacres’ in the public administration system, everyone will have his chance, and we have remained loyal to that obligation. We were wrong politically, but we were right morally. Yes, there are people in Armenia today who want blood in Armenia today (…), and they want that there be bloodshed," Pashinyan added.
