Armenians of the Diaspora collected and sent quite a lot of cargo to Armenia, and this is a rather long process. Today, they want to know whether the cargo reached the addressees in Armenia or not. This is what High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs of Armenia Zareh Sinanyan said during today’s discussion on the report on implementation of the 2020 Action Plan of the Government held as part of the session of the Standing Committee on Science, Education, Culture, Diaspora, Youth and Sport of the National Assembly.

“People sent whatever they deemed to be necessary, and later, the government published the lists of the items that are really necessary, but people didn’t know that they had to look at the lists. However, we started coordinating the process,” Sinanyan said, adding that the Office of the High Commissioner for Diaspora Affairs has sent inquiries to relevant government agencies, asking whether the cargo sent to Armenia had arrived or not, but there hasn’t been any response. Sinanyan also said the Ministry of Health is the only government agency that gave a complete response.
