Azerologist Anzhela Elibegova today told reporters that Azerbaijan is significantly reducing the number of servicemen who died during the war in Nagorno-Karabakh.

Elibegova said the numbers are in the range of 3,000, even though there are actually more deceased servicemen. She also expressed certainty that nobody can and never will have this information.

“Azerbaijan regulated this system a long time ago. For instance, funerals can be held at night, secretly, without any noise,” the analyst clarified, adding that the problem is that the Armenian side also tends to conceal the number of deceased servicemen.
