On the evening of March 21, medical institutions reported to the police that two men had been admitted to a hospital with bodily injuries and that they were diagnosed with cut and pierced wounds in the chest area (they were stabbed with a knife). The police who left for the medical centers promptly established the fact that the men had received injuries during an incident that they had both participated in.

The police found the scene of the incident soon. Criminal intelligence officers left for the yard of a building on Saryan Street in Yerevan, and operational intelligence actions continued there. Based on the results of inquiries, police officers obtained data according to which a group of people had gotten into a groundless dispute that led to a knife-stabbing.

The participants, their places of residence and each of their roles were identified. By combining and analyzing the information obtained through operational-intelligence actions, the identity of the suspect was also established. The suspect and the other participants were detected, and on the night of March 22, were apprehended and taken to the central police station. The 21-year-old living in Yerevan testified. Expert examinations have been designated, and preliminary investigation of the launched criminal case continues.
