Armenia’s Prosecutor General Artur Davtyan today received Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to Armenia Sergey Kopirkin.
During the meeting, the interlocutors discussed the deepening of relations in the areas of mutual legal assistance and the criminal law sector and the implementation of the earmarked joint actions for exchange of experience.
The parties also touched upon the possibilities of the return of Armenian prisoners of war and civilians in Azerbaijan and the efforts being made in this direction. Davtyan expressed gratitude to Russia, particularly the Prosecutor General’s Office of the Russian Federation for the active steps being taken in this direction.
As reported earlier, during his working visit to Moscow in January of this year, Prosecutor General of Armenia Artur Davtyan invited his Russian counterpart Igor Krasnov to Armenia. Krasnov accepted the invitation and is expected to visit Armenia with his delegation in April.
In this context, Davtyan and Kopirkin also discussed the agenda for the visit and organizational issues.
