Setting up a metallurgic plant is one of the key points for Armenia’s economic development. This is what Prime Minister of Armenia Nikol Pashinyan declared in parliament today.

According to him, the establishment of the metallurgic plant will convey a new meaning to the extension of the period of operation of the nuclear power plant and even the construction of a new one, as well as the unblocking of communication links between Armenia and Azerbaijan.

Pashinyan also expressed the view that the demand for electricity will sharply grow after the establishment of the metallurgical plant. “In this case, the opening of the railway towards Iran and Russia is especially important for Armenia. I doubt that Azerbaijan will show a destructive approach,” Pashinyan added.
