Liberal democracies must prepare for war in search of peace amid heightened global tensions, Australian Interior Minister Mike Pezzullo noted, noting that the likelihood of war is increasing.
Pezzullo did not elaborate on the reasons for his warning, but it followed a sharp deterioration in Australia's relations with China and a rise in regional tensions over Taiwan.
Australian Defense Secretary Peter Dutton said Sunday that the conflict involving China over Taiwan should not be discounted.
