The report of the parliamentary committee leading a probe into the circumstances behind the Four-Day Artsakh War of April 2016 is on the agenda for the sessions to be convened by the National Assembly of Armenia tomorrow and will be considered during the first main session to be held on May 5, as reported on the official website of the National Assembly.
The committee had forwarded the report to the parliamentary speaker on November 20, 2020. Although It needed to be considered during the regular session of the National Assembly in the course of one month following that day in accordance with the Rules of Procedure of the National Assembly, the parliament has decided to consider it now.
The parliamentary committee for leading a probe into the circumstances behind the Four-Day Artsakh War of April 2016 was set up on May 31, 2019 for a six-month term, but the term was extended for another six months in December 2019. In June 2020, after a year of leading a probe, the committee completed its activities and planned to release the report in the fall, but the publication was postponed due to the hostilities unleashed by Azerbaijan against Artsakh.
