YEREVAN. – Through the mediation of Acting Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan, Major General Arkady Ter-Tadevosyan—a.k.a. Commandos—has been posthumously awarded the Medal of the Order of the Homeland for his outstanding services in the creation and establishment of the Armed Forces of Armenia, and in the defense and ensuring security of the Homeland, being awarded the highest title of National Hero of Armenia, the government informed.

Pashinyan handed this medal to Arkady Ter-Tadevosyan's son, Hayk Ter-Tadevosyan, at the government.

"I believe this is a very important and worthy tribute of respect, appreciation, not only to Arkady Ter-Tadevosyan personally, but also to all our compatriots dedicated to the Artsakh [(Nagorno-Karabakh)] liberation war and, in general, to the defense of the Homeland. (…). I consider this symbolic day important that we are holding this ceremony here," Nikol Pashinyan said, in particular.
