Two people were injured on Monday in a fire at the largest oil field Big Burgan in southern Kuwait, the Kuwait State News Agency reported, citing a statement from the Kuwait Petroleum Corporation.

A fire broke out in the field, the fire was quickly brought under control, and two workers were injured, but this did not affect production, the agency said in a statement.

Located in Kuwait, the Big Burgan group of oil fields concentrates more than 5% of the world's proven recoverable oil reserves. The fields contain over 75% of Kuwait's proven oil reserves.
