Taking into consideration the fact that the political atmosphere in the country is not healthy and the fact that the opposition is irresolute and faceless and rejecting the approach to give in to narrow political demands at a moment that is critical for the country, I prefer to use my potential in the fields of science and human rights protection. This is what deputy of the National Assembly of Armenia Gevorg Petrosyan wrote on his Facebook page, adding the following:

“I can’t deceive the people…

I don’t find it appropriate to be active in politics any longer and inform that, after my powers as a deputy of the National Assembly are terminated, I will put an end to my political career, but, of course, I will maintain my constitutional right to express my opinions…

May God protect the Armenian People…We will meet again.”
