The fact that Armenia addressed the Collective Security Treaty Organization and Russia in regard to the incursion of the Azerbaijanis into the territory of the Republic of Armenia serves as serious evidence that the Azerbaijanis are within the boundaries of sovereign Armenia. This is what deputy of the National Assembly of Armenia Sergey Bagratyan said during today’s special parliamentary session.

“If Armenia encircles the border now, no international organization can accuse Armenia of aggression or non-peaceful relations. I think it’s time to give the Azerbaijanis reasonable time (48 hours or 72 hours) to leave the Armenian territory; otherwise, Armenia needs to act tough. This needs to be announced to the whole world. I don’t see any point in waiting any longer,” he declared.

Touching upon Azerbaijan’s statements on opening a corridor through Zangezur, Bagratyan said the following: “Turkey knows very well that this is the northern door of Iran and that Iran will never agree to this, even if Armenia is incapable of defending itself from the aggression of Turkey and Azerbaijan. Russia also won’t agree to see its southern border closed forever. India and China won’t agree to see suspension of their course to Europe. The US also told Azerbaijan to pull out their forces from the sovereign territory of the Republic of Armenia. France and the European Union also made statements. It’s time to take action, and the first people who should talk about this are people who know the price of carrying out such operations.”
