Mapping has been conducted throughout the years, and now Armenia is asking Russia to come and map the borders for the country. This is what leader of Unified Armenia Party Yervand Tarverdyan told reporters after a meeting with citizens of Charentsavan, touching upon the situation on the borders of Syunik Province and Gegharkunik Province.
“As Commander-in-Chief, Nikol Pashinyan should have sent people to stand on the border after the war. All of us would go and stand on the border so that nobody would say that Armenia doesn’t have an army. If you can’t build an army, let others build it. The document on the borders hasn’t been signed yet, but the authorities are exalting and considering a new option for demarcation as their victory. There is no new option for demarcation in any part of the world. The authorities simply aren’t able to maintain the honor of Armenians,” Tarverdyan said.
According to him, his political party won’t go to the extreme and will wait until the elections. “I believe any document to be signed can be annulled after thirty days. We won’t let them take actions that won’t be in Armenia’s interests,” he added.
